Mahindra is set to launch the much-awaited Thar 3-door facelift soon, incorporating several premium features inspired by the Thar Roxx concept. The updated model is expected to bring a fresh design, enhanced comfort, and advanced technology while retaining its rugged off-road capabilities.
The facelifted Thar is likely to feature a refreshed front grille, updated LED lighting, and new alloy wheel designs. The design cues may draw inspiration from the Thar Roxx concept, which showcased a more premium and aggressive look.
The cabin is expected to get a significant upgrade with premium upholstery, a touchscreen infotainment system, and improved ergonomics. Features like wireless charging, automatic climate control, and a digital instrument cluster could also be introduced.
Mahindra may equip the new Thar with advanced safety features such as multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, and a rearview camera.
The facelifted model is likely to retain the existing 2.0L turbo-petrol and 2.2L diesel engines, possibly with improved fuel efficiency and refinement. A 6-speed manual and automatic transmission will continue to be offered.
While the new features will add a premium touch, Mahindra is expected to keep the pricing competitive to rival the Maruti Jimny and Force Gurkha.
